Wed, October 26, 2005 - 7:33 PMyou know, i saw audition and it just didn't do very much for me. it was well done, just not very suspenseful or scary to me. maybe it's because everyone i ever talked to about it said that it was just the most fucked up movie ever, but i was a little let down. i plan on watching it again in a few weeks after i clear my head of misconceptions and give it another try. i don't think it sucked, i just didn't get all the fuss.
my current pick for scariest is one that i've seen slammed by many... "One Missed Call." I dunno, it totally worked for me.

Re: scariest movie....
Fri, June 23, 2006 - 11:38 AMThe Eye was great, highly underrated. I think that it's partially attributable to the sucess of a strikingly similar film, Inner Senses (a good movie on its own) that came out at about the same time, and the circumstances surrounding the lead actor Leslie Cheung's suicide shortly after that film was released. One thing I really liked about the Eye was the convincing concept of these shadowy figures that appear when people die, to collect or escort them. It was entirely original and it's a shame they didn't play on that a little more in the sequels.
Despite all the hype about it, I would still have to credit Ju-On with my vote for scariest movie to ever come out of Asia. There are definitely some close runners up, but that movie made a significant impression on me.

Mon, September 4, 2006 - 2:53 PMLiving Hell was the scariest for me - not the best, but definitely the scariest. Masochistic old ladies creep me out bigtime. -

Re: scariest movie....
Mon, September 4, 2006 - 3:03 PMoops i meant sadistic.. masochistic would be a whole other movie :P either way creepy as hell
it was just really tense because nobody believed that the kid was being tortured when he was left home alone with her all day and he was stuck in a wheelchair so he couldn't escape.. really effective

scariest movie....
Mon, May 12, 2008 - 5:25 PMI've seen quite a number of Asian horror movies. The best I've seen so far is "BUPAHRAHTREE" from Thailand. Its freakin' scary and I refused to watch it for the 2nd time. It is definitely worth your time to watch. Fully recommended. I've spread the words to my friends and they agreed this is one of the bests. Try it! -
